We have developed quite the crush on our soon-to-be released CRUSHED Collection. And no, it's not weird at all to profess your love to jewelry. You are, after all, their soon to be forever ears.
Each piece from the CRUSHED Collection features gorgeous gemstones with crushed pyrite set in resin to resemble geode formations.
Pyrite, also known as fool's gold, is one of our favorite gemstones, and maybe our very first gemstone crush. I remember first seeing it at a school trip to the Science and Industry Museum. First I was drawn to Pyrite's metallic golden luster. Upon closer inspection, I couldn't tear myself away from the little collection of pyrite - each with their own unique forms. Some were rugged and rock-like, and others were smooth perfectly formed cubes. This is a gemstone that dances to the beat of its own drum!
Inspired by that independent pyrite mindset, I set off to create my own crushed pyrite accents for Rachel Renee Jewelry. By utilizing mixed media, I was able to create something truly one of a kind and completely crush worthy.
